RHS: AFRF Version 0.1.5 Public BETA Released!

We are proud to bring out a public BETA of 0.1.5 (build 1359) which brings about a few new things. First of all, a few bug fixes of the original release. Secondly, we’ve added two new vehicles: original BIS models that have been retextured and had decals added. And the most important update is this release is considered ACE mod “playable”. This means that the mods should be able to play along side each other. Read more about all this in the documentation and head over to the downloads page to get the new release!

Greek “justice”

A week ago, two employees of Bohemia Interactive, personal friends and colleagues of some of our team members were arrested in Greece on the charges of espionage. We were deeply shocked to learn that these guys are now facing up to 20 years in prison if found guilty. Of course anyone who knows anything about BIS, knows that these guys are no spies and that the arrest resulted most likely because of the dispute that occurred last year  over the use of Lemnos as the primary setting of Arma 3. Ivan Buchta and Martin Pezlar were there on holiday, and don’t deserve to sit a day in jail! Please join the thousands of people that are already speaking out against this misuse of justice. How can you help?

Visit http://www.helpivanmartin.org/ and sign the petition. Dean Hall, a fellow BI employee and creator of DayZ has also other suggestions:

You have the power to help me free my friends. I need you to do four things, and if enough people get behind this. The world has their eye on Greece because of their economic troubles, let them know the world has two of their friends held hostage. These things are very important. Petitions and such are great but not as powerful as personal contact, these steps will get my friends freed:

1. Send a twitter message to the Prime Minister of Greece (@primeministergr) letting him know we want Ivan and Maxel returned to their families immediately. This is probably one of the most public and obvious things you can do to help. Social Media works.

2. Call, write, or visit your nearest Greek Embassy (click the link for a list). Let them know what they have done is wrong, and that you want them released. Be civil, but be honest. We don’t stand for this in the part of the world I come from.

3. Spread the word, let everyone know. Please forward my post on, and these links, to anyone who might be able to help. For more information you can visit my friends website at http://www.helpivanmartin.org/

4. Let the local press on the island know what you think on their facebook page, and their twitter @LesvosNet. Read some of the comments on this articlefor an idea of what is going on. Let’s end it exactly where it all started in the first place!

Join forces. Let them know that our community cannot be messed with without consequences!

Thank you for your attention,

RHS Team

Pirog

Stagler has released his conversion of Bardosy’s P I R O G campaign done AFRF style!

After the Cold War, Chernarus betrayed Russia and separated as an independent state. The Chernarussian people never said a single ‘Thank You’ even though throughout the Cold War, Chernarus was modernised out of the relative poverty and ruin that followed WW2. After the separation, Russia was busy with its own problems in the Caucasus. Chernarus used this time to build up a pro-American economy from their oil reserves and caviar fished from the Black Sea. The USA – of course – supports them much better than Moscow militarily and the Chernarussian government – when their economy and newly americanised CDF was ready – started a very aggressive and provocative policy towards Russia. Citizenship of Russian nationals living in the country was revoked. Criminal attacks against Russians was daily in the Northern part of Chernarus. It finally came to blows as CDF units launched rocket attacks into southern Russia bordering Chernarus. Russia was obliged to respond with force…

[SP] Zub Mission updated to use AFRF!

SaOk informed us that he has updated his dynamic SP mission to optionally use the RHS: AFRF mod. Here is what he had to say:

I included this amazing addon as an optional addon to my mission Zub. Russians are there as one peaceful/less seen AI faction if played in normal way, but if you anger the bear the addon becomes much seen. Most of the addon content is inluded.

You can find the mission here if interested (addon is currently in SP version 2.3):

You heard that right! Not even 24 hours after the initial release, one of our fans has released a unit replacement pack. You can find it either on our downloads page or the BIForum thread. You will need to run RHS: AFRF along side it, but what it does is replace the vanilla Russian troops and weapons with our model, so you can enjoy already built missions and the vanilla campaign with the full force of AFRF. Big thanks to FLv*VeNoM*!
